The new experience in Sephora Shanghai: special for Chinese customers.

Sephora grand gateway store (shanghai) reopened with brand new upgraded store design, shopping environment, and technological devices, creating another high-end fashion beauty community for customers on 28, September 2019.

The refresh Sephora showed a more advanced design concept in order to provide customers with fashion, trend, and experience, and it becomes a unique new landmark in Xujiahui business circle.

Nice lighting design -- special simulation of natural light, bright and soft but not dazzling so that customers can experience a better makeup effect while trying the products.

The smart layout of the counter -- the space between each counter was considered carefully and experimented practically, it provides a comfortable shopping environment for customers.

Professional beauty consultant team -- a store manager and a management group with 13 and 15 years of industry experience respectively, all of them have insightful knowledge and skills on makeup.


Sephora also announced an upgrade version 2.0 of its "Virtual Artist" system, which debuted in the Sephora gateway store along with its perfect partner, the newly upgraded digital " Ecommerce Walls"

"Virtual Artist" provides a Virtual makeup experience within the online environment without physical products. The device has been updated with nearly 2,000 popular cosmetics products of Sephora and the makeup effect is also closer to the real situation which is more accord with the aesthetic style of Asian women. It is worth mentioning that, Sephora has also launched the "Foundation Finder" makeup test system based on the "virtual makeup” 2.0 version, which enables customers to accurately and quickly find their own makeup products without frequently removing makeup. The makeup testing system is currently available only in selected Sephora stores, Sephora grand gateway store (shanghai) was included.



Starting in Sephora Asian new concept store in Shanghai last year, “Ecommerce Walls" has attracted the attention of the public. The upgraded “Ecommerce Walls" showed up in the reopened Sephora grand gateway store (Shanghai) as well: touch screens, selecting the desired product, entering the address and you will be able to enjoy the Sephora’s home delivery service. Even if hot items are temporarily out of stock in stores, " Ecommerce Walls " can also meet customers' needs the first time. In addition, " Ecommerce Walls " not only provides the convenience of online shopping but also enables you to check the product information and share more information.


Sephora has been continuous innovating technologies and upgrading services for customers to have a better experience, showing its sincerity in keeping the brand's promise to the Chinese customer, promoting brand fidelity and brand connotation and pulls customers closer to the products.
